traditionel aoud models

Traditional models are for me instruments from the syrian-arabic region Damascus, Aleppo, Homs on one side and on the other side Egyptian models from the 1st half of the 20th century, the so called “golden age”.

From theese times I was able to restore several instruments and have a lot in my hands. The huge knowledge I got from this are then put into my instruments. That are the following models:

  • Sunbat der Bedrossian, Damascus 1940
The original instrument was restored by me. Several copies in different variations and various materials left already my workshop.
  • Jamil Georgy, Cairo 1920
This instrument is owned by me and I am planning to restore it in 2019 by doing parallel a copy of it.
  • Abdo Nahat, Damascus 1921
An instrument which is owned by a client. It is say, that this simple model is one of the best of tha period.
    A copy is planned.
